Some bars offer a mix of locals and tourists while others tend to be mostly tourists. Either way it’s a great way to meet people from around the world.

Being a popular area for water sports there are many stores that specialise in beach and sports attire and water based sporting equipment. Many of the resorts also feature boutiques and clothing stores with the latest fashions.
Cozumel Like a Local
Cozumel’s local scene is mostly around the neighbourhoods of San Miguel and the surrounding areas. Quiet street scapes and tucked away restaurants host the locals as they take a stroll and enjoy the local flavours. The zócalo or main square is often the place for celebrations and festivities where residents gather to commemorate national holidays or religious traditions as well as the daily rituals of lunch and a drink.
