FLIGHT CENTRE TRAVEL GROUP STATEMENT MANGO AIRLINES

Flight Centre Travel Group has noted communication in the media regarding Mango Airlines preparing to enter business rescue and pause operations, effective 1 May 2021.

According to a leaked document, the Department of Public Enterprises has been asked to consider putting Mango Airlines into business rescue if it fails to obtain R2.7bn in funds for the airline by the end of April.

The Flight Centre Travel Group is seeking to gain clarity and more information from the airline and how this will affect customers holding future bookings with Mango Airlines.
