Yangon Flights

With plenty of cheap flights to Yangon, there is no better time to visit this bustling Asian metropolis. Once the capital of Myanmar, Yangon, or Rangoon as it’s often known as, continues to transform itself. Once an isolated city, the closed off country began to opens its doors to the west and as a result, Yangon has begun to see a more certain future, one filled with bustling markets, an increasingly developed skyline and improved public services.

A city once governed under British rule, Yangon features many colonial buildings that date back to Victorian times. As the city continues to modernise, it also has sought to protect and preserve its many heritage listed buildings. These historic landmarks offer a unique setting in a city that is today very much Asian in appearance and identity. The city also features lovely parks and the urban setting of Kandawgyi Lake near downtown Yangon is surrounded by inviting parklands and botanic gardens. While certainly not one of Asia’s most modern cities, Yangon is a place full of character and traditional appeal and well worth a visit.
