This ancient island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea is a majestic mix of culture and history, with a dash of modern European flair. Stroll through the walled city of Mdina where the narrow stone laneways converge in a magnificent maze filled with incredible stone fortresses. Often referred to as the “Silent City”, Mdina is one of the most historically significant cities in the world. History calls out no matter where you are and all one has to do is venture down the city streets, take in the view of a picturesque harbour or hike the hilly countryside to recognize that Malta is one special place.
