Ballina Byron Gatway Airport is about 5 kilometres from the centre of Ballina and brings you to the heart of Northern Rivers NSW. The area is a delight for beach and nature lovers. You're only a 30-minute drive to Byron Bay and it's a 1.5-hour drive to the Gold Coast theme parks.
If you don't stray far from where you land, there are twilight markets, theatre performances, art exhibitions, live music, scenic flights and river cruises in and around Ballina. Skydiving, chopper flights and horseriding on the beach are nearby options too.
