The city of Albany is perfectly situated on the Princess Royal Harbour, a natural inlet from the Southern Ocean. During the whale season, whale spotting tours are particularly popular. On the other hand, when back on dry land, consider visiting the Albany Convict Gaol, which was built in 1852. Today the Gaol is Albany's primary museum, extensively documenting the town's history. Other attractions you can visit on a cheap flight to Albany include the Residency Museum, the Princess Royal Fortress and the Vancouver Arts Centre.
