First Class
Often one of the top-ranked First Class services of any airline at the annual Skytrax awards, ANA’s First Class offers passengers ultimate service and space. As well as high-panel walls offering excellent privacy, First Class guests also receive added comforts such as sleeping garments and a premium amenity kit.
Entertainment
In flight entertainment might not be an exclusive perk of flying First Class these days but one thing you’ll experience only in First Class are digital signal headphones which cancel out background noise. Featuring an automatic noise reduction function, these special headphones will help make your flight extra comfortable by removing approximately 99% of surrounding background noise.
Food
Japanese food is one of the world’s culinary delights and it’s no different in the air when you fly First Class with ANA. ANA’s First Class menu is changed seasonally and offers the best of both Japanese Kaiseki style cooking and Modern European cuisine.
Business Class
Boasting to have the first fully flat seat configuration of any Japanese airline, ANA’s Business Class offers passengers a comfortable and private space with each seat having direct access to an aisle. Plenty of storage space as well as little perks such a ‘do not disturb’ button on seats add extra touches rarely found on other airlines.
Entertainment
Business Class passengers can take full advantage of the 17-inch touch panel in-flight entertainment (on 777 and 787 aircrafts) to watch the latest blockbusters, or select rare films unreleased in Japan, as part of ANA’s exclusive feature film program. All viewing is on-demand so you can take a nap without worrying about missing anything that might happen on screen.
Food
Enjoy national liqueurs such as sake rice wine or shochu distilled spirits right throughout the flight when you fly Business Class on ANA. Come mealtime you’ll also be able to experience the exquisite flavours of Japanese cuisine, with exotic meals such as steam sea urchin and jellied asparagus just some of the feature dishes on Business Class menus.
Premium Economy
With comfortable and spacious seats, and extra perks not found on Economy Class, ANA’s Premium Economy is a great option for those that want some extra comfort but don’t want to spend their holiday budget on an airfare. Premium Economy provides passengers with the not only the best type of entertainment but also services such as expatiated check-in and seats with power ports and a personal reading light.

As well as the tasty Japanese and European cuisine served in Economy Class, Premium Economy customers can enjoy some exclusive benefits such as extra alcohol service, after meal snacks, and in addition, a Business Class dessert.

Customers will be able to enjoy entertainment programs on demand in all classes of service but an added bonus for Premium Economy customers is Sony brand noise cancelling headphones. The regular entertainment service includes a range of the blockbusters, TV shows, documentaries, and rare unreleased films.
Economy
Economy has never been so comfortable on ANA with a modern and refreshing economy cabin that features all the latest technology gadgets such as touch panel in-flight entertainment, a handy USB port and a power supply for laptops.
Food
Japanese food is world-renowned and so too is ANA’s Economy Class menu. Starting December 2014 new meals were introduced thanks to feedback received by ANA from a social media campaign. The results are an innovative blend of Japanese and European inspired meals that will be difficult not to please even the fussiest Economy Class traveller.

Carry-on
Cabin baggage allowances do not vary for each class flown in ANA. All classes are allowed one bag up to 10kg in weight.
Take fragile or valuable items in your carry-on to safeguard against loss or damage.
Checked
ANA has very generous baggage allowances for passengers having in 2015 increased checked baggage allowances. Current allowances are as follows for tickets issued after January 8. 2015:
- Economy - 2 piece at 23kg
- Premium - 2 piece at 23kg
- Business - 2 piece at 32kg
- First – 3 piece at 32kg
If you feel your checked baggage exceeds the weight limits, purchase additional baggage online in advance to avoid excess fees at the airport.
Bulky Items
Any item in excess of the free baggage allowance is subject to extra baggage charge if it does not fit in the overhead bins or underneath passenger seats. This includes items such as sporting equipment, music instruments and large camera tripods. Ask your Flight Centre Travel Expert for specific rules on bulky baggage policies and for what items are accepted.
Surfboards may be taken as checked baggage provided the fins are removed and the boards are in a secure protective bag.
Infant Baggage
Infants under the age of two who do not occupy a seat are allowed one extra 23kg piece for check-in. In addition a stroller or child seat can also be checked in free of charge.
Extra food and nappies for infants may be taken on board in addition to your carry-on limit.
Restricted or Dangerous Goods
Dangerous goods which may endanger the safety of passengers are strictly regulated for carriage on ANA aircraft. Dangerous goods include hazardous materials such as flammable liquids, gas cylinders, explosives and incendiary devices such as flares and fireworks, corrosive materials, bleaches and peroxides.
Restrictions are also applied on the types of goods permitted into aircraft cabins, with the carriage of aerosols, toiletries and alcohol strictly regulated. Exemptions are applicable to certain medicines and baby products.
Wheelchairs and electric mobility aids are able to be taken on the aircraft with prior approval from ANA.
ANA offers several check-in options, from web and airport check-in to even automatic check-in on certain routes. ANA’s automatic check-in is a sort of hybrid check-in type and requires online registration that then checks you into your flight and e-mails you your boarding pass automatically 24 hours before departure time.
If you decide to check-in at the airport counter, make sure you do so at least 2 hours before departure time, with counters opening at many airports 3 hours prior to departure time, and all day at Narita airport.

Eligible passengers flying ANA through Tokyo will be delighted to know that its lounges at both Narita and Haneda Airports have recently undergone refurbishments and expansions. Eligible travellers now have access to all the latest range of modern amenities as well as more seating and shower boots.
ANA lounges can also be found at many regional Japanese destinations while elsewhere in the world passengers on premium tickets can take advantage of ANA’s Star Alliance membership to access lounges in international ANA destinations such as London, Beijing and New York.
With more than 24 million members, the free to join ANA Mileage Club allows frequent flyers to earn points on Star Alliance airlines including Air New Zealand, Thai and Singapore Airlines.
As well as the standard ANA Mileage Club card, there are premium frequent flyer cards awarded to those that earn over 30,000 points.
Bronze, Platinum and Diamond cards offer extra services such as access to lounges and express check-in, while all cards allow you to redeem points for extra baggage and upgrades, or to purchase items at the ANA Gift Website.
